I decided to try out some of my camera's manual settings today. I usually just rely on auto settings so this is really out of my comfort zone. I must read more and learn how to use my camera to it's full potential. Project 365 will certainly give me the opportunity to practice.
The design of a crowned lion and number 10 has been used on ten pence pieces since 1968 with either NEW PENCE (1968 - 1981) or TEN PENCE (1982 - 2008) above the lion.
In August 2005 the Royal Mint launched a competition to find new reverse designs for all coins apart from the £2 coin. The winning designs by Matthew Dent were introduced gradually in 2008. The coins form a shield when placed together. I have yet to find the full set!
